Eastern Airways is launching a new service connecting Newcastle Airport to Belfast City Airport.
As of 1 September 2017, Eastern Airways will provide a new daily weekday service connecting Newcastle to Belfast.
The airline has been operating air services from Newcastle since 2003 and also flies from the north east to Aberdeen, the Isle of Man and Cardiff.
On Mondays to Thursdays, flights will depart Newcastle at 9.45am, landing in Belfast City at 10.50am. Flights will leave Belfast at 1.45pm, arriving in Newcastle at 2.50pm.
Friday services take off from Newcastle at 9am, landing in Belfast at 10.05am. Friday services depart from Belfast at 1.10pm, arriving in Newcastle at 2.15pm.
Mathew Herzberg, Eastern Airways’ head of commercial, said: “This new non-stop service from Newcastle to Belfast City Airport is not only providing a convenient link to the heart of Belfast city and its busy commercial centre, but Newcastle is also the gateway to the north east of England for visitors from Northern Ireland. Our partnership with Flybe from the end of October will also offer greater connectivity on our Newcastle services.”
Leon McQuaid, Newcastle Airport’s aviation development manager, added: “It’s great to see Eastern Airways further enhance its offering from Newcastle and continue to invest in our region.
“This new service to Belfast City Airport will offer the North East travelling public a direct link into the heart of Belfast city centre and with strong links on both sides, we expect the service to be well received in both the business and leisure community.”
Earlier this year Eastern Airways provided a continuation of services to the Isle of Man from Newcastle Airport, following the liquidation of Citywing.
