Coaching company appointed to help Northumberland businesses grow

Business support service, Business Northumberland, has appointed Transmit Consulting to provide coaching to established Northumberland businesses with growth potential.

Transmit Consulting, sister company to loans provider Transmit Start-Ups, will work with businesses who are registered onto the Business Northumberland support programme, focusing particularily on those who have the potential to achieve accelerated growth within the next two years.

Specialist sector coaches at Transmit will provide tailored support for businesses across a number of areas, with the aim of helping them achieve long-term success and fulfil their growth plans.

So far the Business Northumberland programme has provided support to 378 businesses since its launch in January. The programme aims to support a total of 81 businesses and the creation of 48 new jobs through the High Growth coaching scheme, which will run until the end of the programme in April 2019.

Richard Myers, commercial director at Transmit Consulting, said: "We are really pleased to be working with Business Northumberland to deliver this High Growth Scheme throughout the County. We are looking forward to watching businesses grow and develop on this fantastic programme. Our team of specialist coaches can provide invaluable advice tailored to support each individual business with their growth plan.”

Councillor Richard Wearmouth, chairman of Arch, said: “This programme is a fantastic opportunity for businesses based within Northumberland who have the potential to grow but are facing barriers or are not sure where to start. The appointment of specialist coaches from Transmit Consulting is a great addition for Business Northumberland, adding to their own expertise to reach out to help more businesses within our County."

The service adds to an existing package of support that Arch already provide to businesses in the County, including advice on property solutions for businesses in need of commercial space, funding and support, supply chain connections, training and recruitment and business development.
