Members of Derwentside Business Network (DBN) will be showcasing their goods and services to other businesses and to the wider public this September.
DBN’s second expo is being held on the morning of September 26 in the Civic Centre, Stanley.
The event will include space for about 70 stands for businesses to display their wares, along with breakout areas for workshops and guest speakers to introduce the event.
This follows last year’s highly successful expo held at Beamish Park Golf Club, when 60 businesses exhibited. Since then, DBN’s membership has grown to more than 110 members.
DBN has also become a Community Interest Company, CIC, a limited company that operates for the public good. Becoming a CIC allows DBN to bid for various funds and projects to allow it to further support small business in its area.
Chairman Gary Scott says: “DBN has achieved an exciting level of momentum and vibrancy with a real sense of potential. I’m confident we can harness that to make this autumn’s expo an event which will not only build networks, generate leads and increase business, but will also build on the spirit of cooperation and mutual support which now characterises this organisation. Spaces are limited, so, if you’re interested in exhibiting, don’t delay in booking a stand.’’
DBN will be facilitating the provision of marketing packages such as pop-up stands and other material supplied by DBN members in the print and design sectors.
