The North East travel agency has stepped in to help holidaymakers who have booked with the collapsed flight operator.
The Newcastle-based business has set up a regional contact centre to provide advice to anyone who has booked with the airline and needs information on how to reclaim money or re-arrange a fully ATOL protected holiday.
Monarch ceased trading on Monday cancelling all its future flights and holidays. About 860,000 people have lost bookings and more than 30 planes will be sent by the Civil Aviation Authority to return 110,000 holidaymakers who are overseas.
Chris Harrison, managing director of Dawson & Sanderson, said: “When a tour or flight operator collapses it’s extremely stressful not only for the customers but for our staff because they know they have to work very hard to find alternatives.
“At Dawson & Sanderson, customer service is our number one priority. We want to help as many people as we can get sorted as soon as possible.
"It doesn’t matter that you didn’t originally book with us, we are willing to help anyone who booked direct with Monarch, just call us or pop into one of our branches today.”
As well as advice on reclaiming money, Dawson & Sanderson is also signposting Monarch customers to alternative fully insured holidays and is offering offer a range of discounts to help people get sorted with new travel arrangements.
