Maven Capital Partners, private equity house and manager of the £20m Finance Durham Fund is teaming up with Growth Capital Ventures, a specialist online investment and alternative finance platform, to support North East businesses seeking growth finance.
With a range of loan and equity funding packages available to support businesses, the funding experts have launched the events to help companies perfect their pitch and gain the knowledge and skills they need to secure investment and achieve their growth plans.
Providing strategic and commercial expertise, the first in a series of roundtable pitch events will launch on the 28th November at the Xcel Centre in Newton Aycliffe and registration is now open for local entrepreneurs to book their place. This is a great opportunity for businesses to refine their pitch and receive top tips to identify and raise the right funding for their company.
Michael Vassallo, investment director of Maven, said: “Many years’ experience tells us that investment is a shared journey, where results are most successful when all parties have a common vision for driving the business forward and maximising value.
“Our aim is to give local entrepreneurs a platform for the continued growth of their business and equip them with the right knowledge and understanding to be investor ready.”
Norm Peterson, co-founder and CEO of GCV, said: “Being investor ready increases the chances of raising capital significantly. As an entrepreneur, understanding exactly what a potential investor is looking for in you and your business is crucial.
“We're delighted to have the opportunity to share our experiences and help ambitious North East based businesses access capital to grow.”
