North East HR Firm on course for a 70% turnover hike

HR Dept Newcastle is on track for a 70% increase in turnover this year, as the company looks to expand its operations throughout the region.

The firm, based in Boldon Colliery, South Tyneside, has also confirmed the appointment of an additional full-time Senior HR advisor to cope with increased demand for its services attained over the last 12 months.

Having launched the company four years ago, its director Jayne Hart has said the HR Dept Newcastle's client base is now made up of over 350 North East based SMEs who come to the firm to access affordable and outsourced HR solutions and the firm's expert knowledge in employment law.

To accommodate the company's growth in the region, the newly appointed Senior HR Advisor, Danielle Chaplin, has joined the business having worked for the likes of BAE systems, Warburtons, Northern Rock and Northumbrian Water.

Jayne Hart said: “2018 is going to be a period of continued growth for HR Dept Newcastle and we're really looking forward to adding further value to the diverse clients we support.

“We are keen to establish ourselves further in the manufacturing and technology sectors and have recently started working with clients such as hedgehog lab and Roundel Kitchens, both very successful North East businesses in their own right.”

“Danielle joins us at a very exciting time and has a background in providing outsourced HR, especially in the manufacturing industry, an area we're keen to further explore and develop.

“She has a very practical approach to her work and is someone that cares about providing an excellent customer experience; she is the perfect fit for HR Dept and supports our values.”

HR Dept Newcastle has said it will look to further develop its service offering this year and will invest in further HR advisors to help and assist cross-sector SMEs and start-ups in the region who don't have the time or the means to invest in their own HR team.

Jayne Hart continues: “We will be looking to work with more start-ups and scale-ups this year.  The plan is to continue investing in more great staff so that we are able to provide increased support on site, enabling the small business to access the benefits of having an HR Manager without the overheads.

"We believe having access to strategic HR is vital to business growth.  I also have the ambition to develop our Advisors internally and will look to offer apprenticeships for those who are keen to start a career in HR.”
