Generator celebrates the launch of its new brand at NBS

Leading business development agency, Generator, celebrated the launch of its new brand at the home of NBS (The Old Post Office) in Newcastle this month. Joined by stakeholders, its board and key delivery partners, Jim Mawdsley, Rachel Peacock, and Charlie Dancer explained the thought process behind the new branding and announced big expansion plans for the future.

Narrative Communications Announces its on-going growth plans

A leading marketing agency is plotting the next stage of its growth story after winning a clutch of new contracts.

In the last six months Sunderland-based Narrative Communications has won more than £300k of work across its core service areas, which include PR, creative, advertising, digital

media and marketing strategy.

Recent wins include Gentoo, Durham’s Hotel Indigo, Sage Gateshead and Godfrey Syrett.

Godfrey Syrett, a world-class furniture designer and manufacturer based in North Tyneside, has appointed Narrative to develop and implement a full marketing strategy, in line with their business goals.

Narrative will support Godfrey Syrett's vision of reaching £50 million turnover by the end of 2020, strengthen their market position and further cement their status as a highly successful, esteemed North East business.


W North adds three new staff to its expanding Newcastle team

Newcastle-based PR agency W North has hired Taimar Askew, Fran Clark and Rachel Jones to join the rapidly expanding group.

Based in Ouseburn’s Toffee Factory, W North is the Northern arm of London’s W Communications, one of the world’s top ten fastest-growing communications consultancies, specialising in work across earned media, digital and social for global and regional brands. Taimar, Fran and Rachel join as account executives, creating an eight-strong W North team.

Head of W North, Christian Cerisola, said: “It’s a thrill to have found three hungry and dedicated communications professionals to add to the growing team here. We have huge ambitions for 2018 to expand further, both in partnership with our London colleagues, but also as a successful stand-alone PR agency in the North. It’s an exciting time for this region and we’re glad that W North is at the centre of it.”

W North was launched in April 2017 by W Communications following the acquisition of Christian’s own North East-based agency, Glue PR.


Ward Hadaway's Tim Craig Joins The Sick Children’s Trust board of trustees

Ward Hadaway Partner Tim Craig has joined the board of trustees for national charity The Sick Children’s Trust, which runs free ‘Homes from Home’ accommodation for families with critically ill children in a hospital.

Tim, who is a Partner and Head of the Construction and Engineering Team at law firm Ward Hadaway, has specialised in construction law for 23 years and has considerable expertise advising charities.

Jane Featherstone, Chief Executive of The Sick Children’s Trust, says: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Tim Craig of Ward Hadaway on board as a trustee. In the short time since his appointment, we have already benefitted from Tim’s sound advice and knowledge of construction law. 

“I feel confident having him by my side as we enter a new development phase for the charity.”
