Newcastle content marketing duo to take centre stage at U.S. conference

Creative marketers Andrew Pickering and Peter Gartland will take centre stage at a conference in Ohio, U.S.A to speak alongside leading brand marketers from across the globe at Content Marketing World Conference and Expo. 

The conference, set to take place in Cleveland, Ohio, between 4th and 8th September 2018 is expecting to open it’s doors to 4,000 attendees from over 50 countries. During this time attendees will be given access to over 120 sessions and workshops hearing from experts on how to grow a brand using content marketing. 

Andrew Pickering and Peter Gartland, founders of creative content marketing agency aptly named Andrew and Pete, will talk to attendees on how to build an audience and brand by creating content that breaks through social media algorithms. 

Andrew said: “We’re so happy to be speaking at this event. It’s one that’s been on our bucket list since we launched our business back in 2011.

“We’re finding more and more that businesses are struggling to keep their fans engaged. This is because of two things - the first is that there’s so much noise online to compete with and secondly, it’s because social media platforms are constantly changing algorithms that make it harder for brands to reach the right audiences online. This is something we’re seeing at the moment with the recent Facebook newsfeed changes. 

“We want to help business owners get a good understanding of these changes and how they can use content which navigates the algorithms in a way that means they can still grow their online fan base.” 

Peter said: “This conference is going to be huge. Our talk will focus on how to create remarkable content. By that we mean content that makes people remark about your brand in a positive way, attracts new followers and keeps your current followers engaged.

It’s not just about posting the right content, it’s about making sure your content reaches right people and generates comments, likes and shares.
