North East tea company Ringtons has announced strong revenues and profits.
The company, which was launched in Newcastle in 1907, turned over £58.3m in the year to 30 June 2017, up from £54.5m in the previous year.
Pre-tax profits hit £10.7m, a significant boost from £6.4m in 2016.
In a statement, Ringtons’ directors said: "Investment in facility improvements and additional capacity continues.
"The directors continue to be ready to invest in other trading ventures, particularly in the tea and coffee market, as opportunities arise."
