Ahead of Venturefest Tees Valley taking place on 22nd May, we look at the local firms taking part in the Innovation Showcase and what makes them so special…
Thanks to a dedicated R&D project, Nifco UK have developed a Thermoplastic Oil Pan for use in Land Rover vehicles. Weighing 1kg less than a steel equivalent, continuous glass fibres, which are infinitely longer than those used in normal reinforced plastics, deliver optimum performance.
If you’re interested in finding out about their products and the technology underpinning it, or think you could be part of their supply chain, go and meet them as part of the Innovation Showcase at VentureFest Tees Valley.
VentureFest Tees Valley is free to attend and takes place on Tuesday 22 May, 2018 at Wynyard Hall. Bringing together business leaders with funding and innovation experts, VentureFest features talks from:
· Mark Chapman, chief engineer of The Bloodhound Project, a British-led collaboration using a 1,000mph World Land Speed Record attempt to inspire the next generation to get involved in STEM subjects
· Tim Ryan, head of life-sciences firm Epigem
· Sharon Lane, who started her career as an apprentice and is now general manager of Tees Components
