A free event is aiming to tackle some of businesses biggest challenges by turning them into opportunities.
As the business environment becomes ever more uncertain, companies must look to leverage more power from their people to react faster and enable them to compete in an increasingly competitive world. New event People Power, organised by The Projects Studio Ltd, will recognise the importance of putting people and skills at the heart of business success.
Lyndsey Morrison, founder and director of The Projects Studio Ltd, said: “We just see and hear so much in the press and on social media- shouting with a lot of negativity about the current jobs market and workplace, for example, about how robots will take our jobs, skills gaps will hamper growth, the challenge of an aging workforce etc. We felt that there was a real need in the region to address this head on and create a more people-centric approach.
“We have brought all of this together under one roof to give business leaders and managers an opportunity to understand the practical steps that they can take to address all these challenges, future-proof their business and ensure they are fit to compete. We want visitors to leave the event feeling inspired and to have a new and positive approach to skills development and the changing work environment.”
This free event will give businesses the opportunity to meet with over 40 of the region’s top skills, education and training providers as well as HR and recruitment advisors. A series of 20 seminars and masterclasses throughout the day will provide training and advice on a wide range of business challenges including: Change management, marketing, leadership, communication, presentation skills, recruiting talent, GDPR, customer service, establishing winning teams and more.
Future Skills Vision, one of the event’s key sponsors, will be kicking off the day with a breakfast masterclass that will focus on creating a culture of learning to drive innovation & success.
Holly Thompson, founder and director of Future Skills Vision says: “People are at the heart of and are the driving force behind any businesses. This event is an opportunity for businesses to come together to showcase the vast array of skills initiatives the region has to offer and support mechanisms for businesses to access the skills and talent they need to grow and develop their organisations.
“The day will be a great opportunity for businesses to connect, collaborate and learn from each other. We are proud to be supporting this event and to highlight a range of tips, tricks and strategies to harness your people power allowing your business to thrive in a challenging economic environment.”
The event is open to all businesses and is free to attend. Reserve your places today to benefit from the training on offer.
The People Power event is taking place on the 6th June at St James’ Park.
