North East tech start-up, Ocucon, has been invited to join leading US technology lifecycle management company, Telaid, at a global event targeting the loss prevention market.
Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) system Ocucon has been invited to join Telaid in exhibiting at the NRF Protect 2018 Conference and Expo, the global loss prevention conference, which is being held in Dallas, Texas in June 2018.
The move comes as the two firms confirm they are exploring a potential partnership for Telaid to introduce the innovative new start-up to its global customer base.
Launched in October 2017, Ocucon aims to defend businesses against fraudulent cases of slips, trips and falls by removing physical limitations on the amount of surveillance footage an organisation can save. It is the first technology of its kind to offer unlimited cloud-based storage as a service.
The firm also recently launched Ocucon Pixelate. Developed in partnership with Google, the new product harnesses the power of AI and machine learning to deliver an intelligent and cost-effective video redaction tool that can be used with all forms of camera footage.
Scott Patsiga, visionary & president at Telaid commented: ‘When first introduced to Ocucon, we were particularly impressed by the easy-to-use portal and the platform’s extensive data storage options – something we haven’t seen before in the industry. As a market leader in providing businesses with pioneering technology solutions, we’re delighted that Ocucon is going to be joining us at NRF Protect in June and are looking forward to introducing the platform to prospective clients alongside our existing services”.
Ocucon co-founder and CEO, Gary Trotter, commented: “Telaid is one of the leading technology service and support companies in the US. Having the opportunity to exhibit with them and be introduced to a number of their customers and potential customers is a great opportunity for our US business development plans. Since our launch in October we have been approached by a number of major retailers in North America and talks are at an advanced stage. We’re anticipating we will be signing our first US-based customers for a pilot in just a matter of weeks and also expect to be able to announce a number of significant industry announcements very soon.”
