It all adds up for new finance director at Parsons Containers
County Durham shipping container and self-storage businesses, the Parsons Containers Group, has appointed a finance director to support the company’s expansion in the North East and across the UK. Chartered accountant Helen Parsons has joined the Sedgefield based firm, bringing over 10 years’ experience in auditing and finance to the new role at the business. For Helen, it’s a move back to the North East to the company founded by her father, CEO Ean Parsons.
DTL expands management team in response to growing demand
Develop Training Ltd (DTL) has hired Matthew Gray in the newly-created role of Operations Manager as demand grows for training in the construction and utility sectors.
Reporting to DTL’s Operations director, John Kerr, Matt will oversee delivery of compliance training and apprenticeships across DTL’s seven UK training centres as well as bespoke courses at customers’ premises.
S43 Brewery appoints senior craft brewer
North-East based brewery, S43 have appointed new Senior Craft Brewer Alex Rattray to diversify their offering, with a range of progressive new beers yielded from an American craft beer style.
Alex Rattray will be working with innovative and experimental ingredients and process such as hybrid hop’s and new liquid yeast strains.
Site director appointed at TT Electronics Hartlepool
TT Electronics Hartlepool has announced the appointment of Nigel Freeman as site director, with responsibility for all aspects of leadership, production and internal logistics. Previously manufacturing director, He takes up the role on January 1st.
North East company ‘primed' for growth with business expert appointment
Acclaimed North East businessman, Gary Lumby has been appointed non-executive director by Newton Aycliffe firm BTS Facades & Fabrications, to assist the company in achieving its ambitious growth plans.

Gareth Jones has been well known in his sector over 25 years' and joins the commercial property team as its third partner. Kelly has more than 15 years’ experience in land and commercial property disputes with a specialist knowledge in the property and agriculture sectors representing landlords and tenants, trustees and banks.
Sales expert joins Malhotra Group plc
A leading North East care and leisure organisation has strengthened its team with the appointment of a new sales and business development manager.
Newcastle-based Malhotra Group plc has recruited Fabian Pritchard to the role. Fabian has held a wide variety of sales roles within the leisure and hospitality industry and has also worked extensively in the field of event promotions.

RTC appoints managing director
Jamie Ollivere has been named as the new managing director of innovation and technology transfer company, RTC North.
Jamie joined the company in 2002 as a press officer, later becoming marketing manager. He went on to have responsibility for a succession of large publicly financed business support contracts designed to work with small and medium sized businesses.
He has more recently led on expanding the company’s consultancy and training portfolio and today, the company delivers business improvement projects for clients across the UK.
Burnetts doubles Newcastle-based banking team
Three recent appointments to the Burnetts Banking team double its size and offer lender clients the very best understanding of bank funding processes and decision-making at a crucial time for the property sector.
Sarah Willshire was recently promoted into the new role as Head of Banking in Burnetts and she is excited about the growth: “We’ve always emphasised our understanding of banking needs as a major advantage for clients working with Burnetts,” she says, “and the appointment of Karen Threadgill and Marc Caffrey, both from Lloyds Bank, strengthens this insight into the banking world and how it works. New general manager spearheads Amble Inn recruitment drive
Hospitality maven Chris Taylor has been appointed general manager of The Inn Collection Group’s new £4m Amble Inn which opens in January.
Chris, who has a wealth of restaurant and hospitality experience, will be overseeing a major recruitment drive for the purpose-built hotel, bar and restaurant including head chef, chef de partie, commis chef, kitchen porters, front of house and housekeeping positions.
