Last week (Tuesday 29 Jan) Pitch@Palace11.0 made a stop at Newcastle's Boiler Shop Steamer as part of its UK tour. The event saw 14 Entrepreneurs take to the stage and deliver their pitches to the audience of CEO's, influencers, mentors and investors.
Pitch@Palace was launched in 2014 by HRH The Duke of York with the aim of giving early-stage Entrepreneurs a platform to amplify their work and exposure to people who can help them flourish.
Since its establishment, Pitch@Palace has worked with over 750 Entrepreneurs in over 59 countries worldwide.
Prior to the pitches on Tuesday, the Entrepreneurs and audience heard from Pitch@Palace alumni, Paul Irwin and Ami Davies.
Paul and Ami offered advice to the Entrepreneurs waiting to pitch for the first time and spoke of the success they have found since participating in Pitch@Palace.
HRH Prince Andrew then spoke via live chat, offering his best wishes to the contestants preparing to pitch.

The Pitch: Cievert have developed intelligent software which uses AI technology to improve healthcare across the UK.
The Ask: Cievert are looking for investment to scale-up their business.
The Pitch: Fundify has developed a SaaS platform which uses AI and smart algorithms to connect grantseekers and grantmakers.
The Ask: Fundify are looking for a new lead angel who wants to benefit from full SEIS allowances.
The Pitch: Lujam can offer efficient, jargon-free cyber protection to SMEs and consumers.
The Ask: Lujam Security are looking for investment and introductions to companies who may want to use their technology.
The Pitch: PadLock is tackling the skills gap by creating an online platform which connects businesses with cybersecurity experts.
The Ask: Padlock would like introductions to investors to help launch their platform and a meeting with Elizabeth Denham and Matthew Gould.
The Pitch: Equiwatt is an intelligent energy management platform that is harnessing community power to reward households for saving energy at peak times.
The Ask: Equiwatt are looking for investment of £1,000,000 and introductions to Energy Companies.
The Pitch: Budgety is a fintech start-up which offers a neutral environment for independent parents to manage the financial responsibilities for their children.
The Ask: Budgety would like introductions to the Child Maintenance Service or Child Support Agency.
The Pitch: HighCastle is an investment marketplace for private securities and alternative investments, powered by distributor ledger technology.
The Ask: Highcastle are looking for Partners and Investors.
The Pitch: Kani is a reporting and reconciliation tool used by those in the finance industry to accurately reconcile and report all monetary values moved and transferred.
The Ask: Kani would like introductions to companies that want to use their technology to grow.
The Pitch: MyFolks is a digital platform which connects carers and support workers to the families who need their help
The Ask: MyFolks would like an introduction to Hilda Hayo, Chief Executive of Dementia UK, as well as introductions to health economic experts.
The Pitch: Mmndr has created an app to help Entrepreneurs overcome common mental health problems and reduce the stigma around failure.
The Ask: Myndr would like an introduction to HRH The Duke of Cambridge and HRH The Duke of Sussex.
The Pitch: Mysysters (Vorsdatter) have created an app for women to manage and track their menopause and share their experiences with one and other
The Ask: MySysters (Vorsdatter) would like support in carrying out a study on the effects of Vorsdatter.
The Pitch: Ctrl_hub provides a unique software solution based supply chain authentication, compliance and industry best practice that helps companies become more efficient.
The Ask: Equiwatt are looking for investment of £1,000,000 and introductions to Energy Companies.
The Pitch: MSI is dedicated to the development of mitochondrial substrates, which are essential for healthy brain metabolism.
The Ask: Mitochondrial Substrate Invention are looking for investment to continue their research.
The three winners of Tuesday's event (Cievert, Equiwatt and Kani) will travel to London for the Bootcamp stage of the competition. Following this they will be delivering their pitches once again, this time at the Pitch@Palace final held at St James's Palace on June 12th 2019.
