Supported by RBS, Premier Leisure has acquired The Maltings pub in South Shields and following an extensive renovation project, has re-launched the local venue to much success.
Serving a wide range of craft beers, ales, wines, spirits and cocktails, the former real ale pub has been completely revamped and marks the opening of Premier’s 25th venue in the North East.
Glen Winlow, manager of The Maltings, said: “We are thrilled with how popular the pub has become since re-opening.
“We want to attract a diverse range of customers and create a real community focussed venue and I this is definitely something we have achieved.
“Our entertainment evenings are proving to be very popular and the feedback we have received has been great.”
Tony Singh, director of Premier Leisure Limited, added: “I am pleased that we have been successful with the acquisition and re-launch of The Maltings.
“The pub is located at the heart of the local community in South Shields and we want to create a venue for all local residents to enjoy.”
Royal Bank of Scotland has supported the new venture with an undisclosed funding deal.
