Big names join forces to launch new PR agency

Two of the North East's communications professionals have joined forces to launch a new PR agency. Jason Knights of Blue Kangaroo Design and Anne-Marie Lacey, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations North East’s Outstanding Young Communicator, have created Filament PR, a communications offering for businesses operating in the lifestyle, leisure and entertainment industries.

Based in County Durham, Filament PR will work with clients in the North East and beyond, providing PR and communications services including media and blogger relations, social media, content marketing and SEO PR.

Jason Knights, managing director of Filament PR, said: "Having worked in the design and brand communications industry for over 10 years, I spotted a business opportunity to expand my interests to include a PR and communications agency a while ago, after several of my clients at Blue Kangaroo asked for recommendations of PR agencies.

"After meeting Anne-Marie and working with her on PR projects for Blue Kangaroo and seeing the benefits her work has brought to the business, I knew she was the right person to co-found and launch a PR agency with; if I can trust the reputation of my own business with Anne-Marie, I can confidently recommend my clients work with her too."
