The funding will enable the company to create three jobs and invest in a new safety and training centre on the edge of the Mersey.
Established in 2012, National Marine’s safety, work and survey vessels are used for a range of flood defence and civil engineering projects as well as to support the emergency services.
Today, National Marine’s high-profile clients include McDonalds, the BBC, Wirral and Sefton Councils and construction provider Bam Nuttall.
Managing director and qualified marine engineer, Jon Henshaw, is excited about the opportunities the loan will bring.
He said: “National Marine offers a range of boats, pontoons and other services which are currently hired by customers in a number of different industries and sectors.
“We have significant potential to expand and the loan from The North West Fund for Loans Plus will help us to unlock this potential.
“FW Capital has been very supportive and understands our growth plans. We can now invest in key aspects of our business such as our facilities, marketing and recruitment to help us build our customer base across the whole of the UK.”
The company has its own UK database of trained skippers and crew to deploy locally-based experts to jobs around the country.
