North West firms named among the best for IP

A trio of innovative firms from the North West have been named among the UK’s top companies for intellectual property in a new national report.

Bright Office, TTS Pharma and Dmist Research have all been named among the top 100 in the latest Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank’s IP100 League Table.

The IP100 is the UK’s first Intellectual Property (IP) League Table compiled by BQ in association with award-winning IP solutions firm Metis Partners.

The report profiles and ranks innovative companies, highlighting those which have significantly invested in their IP in the form of IP creation, IP management policies, R&D activities and IP commercialisation.

Stockport-based Dmist Research was profiled as one of the top companies in the UK for patented products and services – which include its video enhancement applications and products which are used to enhance video quality from sketchy CCTV footage.

TTS Pharma and Bright Office were both also named among the top 20 companies for the worth of their critical databases, which highlights the ever-growing emphasis on data capture and management within business.
