Personalised clothing business has clocked up £1m in monthly sales for the first time on its way to a record half-year.

The Trafford Park firm achieved £1.1m of sales in June, taking group turnover for the first six months of 2016 to £5.2m, up 21% on last year. supplies businesses, teams, communities and individuals with personalised clothing for uniforms, promotions and events, including t-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts.

This year has seen strong growth in demand for breathable sports fabrics, fuelled by the increasing popularity of mud runs, triathlons, boot camps and other fitness activities.

Soaring exports have also contributed to the firm’s stellar showing, with sales outside the UK rising by more than 50%. is the fastest-growing part of Quayside Group, which is forecasting full-year sales of £11m, up from £9.1m in 2015.

Managing director Michael Conway said: “It’s been a great journey since our first £1m year in 2009, when there were only 20 of us in the business.

“It feels significant that we have now reached a level of £1m in monthly sales, with 120 people employed by the group.

“However, it is just a step on the ladder towards our vision of being the world’s favourite personalised clothing business.”

Michael said a relentless focus on innovation and meeting customer needs has boosted the firm’s performance.

“We were the first business in our industry to offer 24-hour turnaround for printed and embroidered clothing ordered online. Our easy-to-use website enables customers to personalise clothing online with no minimum order quantity,” he said.

“We continue to focus on making it as simple as possible for our customers to order, to deliver in rapid lead times and get orders right first time.”
