Stockport cheers North West brewers

Robinsons Brewery is set to host its first ever beer festival at its award-winning visitors centre featuring beers from across the North West as part of Stockport Beer Week.

The festival, taking place from 22 September to 25 September, will feature 17 different cask ales from a selection independent brewers in Manchester and Cheshire including Robinsons’ own core cask ale range and Iron Maiden’s TROOPER Red N Black porter.

Gill Yates, brands manager for Robinsons Brewery, said: “It’s great that we have this opportunity to celebrate the nation’s favourite drink as part of Stockport Beer Week.

“A beer festival is something we’ve never done at Robinsons so we are excited to feature some of the finest cask ales that Stockport and beyond has to offer.”

John Barratt from Seven Miles Out and Stockport Old Town added: “Robinsons Brewery are great supporters of all our community events in Stockport Old Town and it’s a privilege to be collaborating with them on their first Beer Festival; bringing new visitors to enjoy the food and award-winning ales on offer in the historic Old Town area during Stockport Beer Week."

Beers from Thirst Class Brewery, Fool Hardy, Stockport Brewing, Cryptic Ales, Quantum, Poynton Brewery, Tweed Brewery, Westwood Brewery, Howard Town Brewery, Torrside Brewery, Rock Mill Brewery and Wily Fox will be available throughout the festival in half and full pint measures.

The event will also feature live music from local bands across the two evenings. Street style food will also be available from the visitors centre throughout the event.
