Solicitor to start-up

A Burnley solicitor is set to launch her own town centre legal practice after securing a start-up loan from Business Finance Solutions (BFS).

Boasting over 10 years’ experience in the legal sector, solicitor Hannah Paddock has decided to go it alone with the launch of Vanguard Law Solicitors.

Having built up her reputation working for both a local high street firm and a national firm of solicitors, Hannah realised that it was possible to offer expert legal advice for a reasonable price, without compromising on the quality of service. It was from this idea that Vanguard was born.

The firm will specialise in delivering expert legal advice at fixed prices in areas including property, wills, probate, mental capacity, family, care proceedings and vulnerable adults. Hannah will be using her Start Up Loan from BFS to invest in cutting edge technology in order to reduce overheads, enabling the savings to be passed on to clients in the fixed pricing structure.

Hannah said: “I had thought about setting up my own practice for a number of years and securing the low cost finance I needed from BFS meant I was able to make the move far quicker. I want to bring a new type of law practice to the local area, offering the same expert legal advice but at a fixed cost and with friendly service.”

Speaking on the move, Paul Breen, director of Business Finance Solutions, added: “Like many ambitious professionals, Hannah has spent many years building up her reputation in her field and was ready to break away and set up on her own.

“Hannah had already established extensive contacts and legal contracts for her new business and, when she was ready to start up on her own, we were able to step in and provide the low interest finance she needed to get her office up and running.”
