Wirral business aims for the USA with funding package

Evoke Creative, which designs and manufactures digital solutions for businesses such as Google, McDonald’s, Vue, and Tesco, has strengthened its position among a growing blue-chip client base thanks to a £2m finance package.

The HSBC commercial loan will significantly enhance Evoke Creative’s cash flow, enabling it to buy higher volumes of components for the bespoke kiosks it creates for its client base.

The Bromborough-based business, which employs 60 staff from around the region, has seen 40% growth over the last four years. This £2m cash injection puts Evoke in a strong position to service its existing clients and pursue new business opportunities at home and overseas.

Currently, Evoke exports its tailor-made kiosks and digital signage to customers in over 40 countries. As part of the company’s growth plan, it aims to increase its reach and has a specific focus on the US.

Dave Derby, managing director of Evoke, said: “One of the reasons we chose to work with HSBC on this deal is because of the bank’s strong business network in the States. It is a market we are keen to break into and we believe that with this funding, combined with HSBC’s local business knowledge, we will be able to realise this goal much sooner.

“The funding also gives us flexibility. If we are to continue servicing our current client base, meeting high volume demands, we need the capital to be able buy components and man power up front in order to keep our capacity and order turnover efficient. This also puts us in an advantageous position in terms of reaching new clients too.”

Barry Millar, HSBC’s area director of Liverpool & Cheshire, said: “Evoke Creative has a proven track record of strategic growth and we are excited to see how the company implements this funding to continue its ambitious objectives both here in the UK and overseas. We are delighted to be able to support dynamic, creative businesses like Evoke Creative in the North West through our SME commercial funding scheme.”
