Evans Textiles, the soft furnishing and textiles supplier, has acquired Bedmaker Textiles with the support of a significant funding package from HSBC.
The Manchester-based business, which was established over 100 years ago, provides designs and contract solutions to the hospitality, marine, healthcare, and office sectors. Its products include a vast range of innovative curtain and blind designs, as well cushions, duvets and upholstery.
Evans Textiles’ acquisition of Bedmaker Textiles will allow the business to expand its market share, access new suppliers and scale up its product range throughout the UK. Following the acquisition, Bedmaker Textiles will trade under its own name and continue to market and distribute home textiles, including bedlinen, throws, towels and nursery products.
Paul Callan, managing director of Evans Textiles, added: “We are constantly evolving and diversifying to provide the very best for our customers. The acquisition of Bedmaker Textiles adds a fantastic supplier and customer base to our already established portfolio.”
Matthew Palmer, HSBC’s relationship director for Greater Manchester, said: “The acquisition of Bedmaker Textiles shows the scale of ambition at Evans Textiles. The business has a clear strategy for growth and the acquisition strengthens an already successful business. We look forward to seeing further growth from Evans Textiles in the future.”

The team at Myerson Solicitors was led by Corporate Commercial Partner, Andrew Brown, who was assisted by Corporate Commercial Solicitor, Chris Wilson.
