Dehns, the firm of patent and trade mark attorneys, has announced it will sponsor Innovation 100 Greater Manchester.
Run by BQ in conjunction with the Business Growth Hub, the first ever Innovation 100 aims to recognise businesses that invest in innovation in order to create value.
Across life sciences, digital technology and advanced manufacturing, Greater Manchester is playing a lead role in innovation - from splitting the atom, to the first computer and more recently isolating Graphene, these innovations have been at the forefront of developments that have helped shape the world.
Over the coming months businesses will enter Innovation 100 with a campaign that will culminate in 100 Greater Manchester businesses being featured in a special printed report.
Samuel Dewhurst, associate in the Manchester office of Dehns said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the Innovation 100 initiative. Greater Manchester has long been a hub of innovation, and we’re keen to recognise and support the region’s leading innovators.”
Chris Greenhalgh, head of innovation and programme development at the Business Growth Hub, said: “We are incredibly pleased to be partnering with Dehns on Innovation 100, who share our desire to put some of Greater Manchester’s most innovative small and medium-sized enterprises in the spotlight.
“This area is home to a great number of businesses that deserve recognition for their creativity and forward-thinking investments in developing new innovative products and services - not just for today’s, but for tomorrow’s market opportunities.”
Bryan Hoare, commercial director at BE Group said: “It is fantastic to be working with Dehns on Innovation 100 for Greater Manchester. As a leading European firm of specialist patent and trade mark attorneys, they are well placed to assist innovative businesses with strategic advice on a wide range of IP issues.”
