BPP University will provide the BSc degree in digital and technology solutions for the new KPMG 360 digital apprenticeship.
The four-year programme combines on-the-job work experience with the opportunity to gain a BSc degree from BPP University, whilst earning a salary. Tuition fees are fully funded by KPMG and successful candidates will work towards a permanent role at the end of the programme.
KPMG 360o Digital will initially be based in London, Manchester and Leeds with places still available for a 2018 start in North West locations. The scheme will allow apprentices to embark on a number of placements within teams across the firm including technology solutions, cyber security, audit and forensic services.
Successful applicants will be offered the opportunity to master new technologies such as cloud, data analytics and artificial intelligence alongside our existing experts who will support them in their career progression.
James Hammill, executive director of apprenticeships, said: “BPP have been training a number of existing KPMG staff on pilot digital degree programmes for the last two years and we are delighted that due to the positive feedback received to date that the programme is being launched to external applicants.
“The development of degree apprenticeships has opened up training opportunities that didn’t exist a couple of years ago, so for people from both the North and South of the country to be given the opportunity to start studying for a fully funded degree in 2018 is fantastic news for them, their parents and KPMG”
BPP has experience in partnering with organisations such as KPMG in designing, developing and delivering professional education programmes that meet the changing needs of corporate organisations. BPP have worked extensively with KPMG over the past few years to ensure their programmes attract and support talent in a competitive marketplace.
Anna Purchas, head of people for KPMG in the UK said: “We are pleased to be working with BPP to deliver our new KPMG 360o Digital apprenticeship scheme. The programme allows trainees to not only gain a degree, but also to acquire valuable on the job experience. In addition we provide learning and development opportunities which are essential for both personal and professional growth. The introduction of this new programme highlights the value we place on technical specialists who are just as good with cutting-edge technology as they are with facts and figures.”
KPMG is now recruiting for individuals to join this and other apprenticeship programmes in September 2018, in Manchester and other UK offices.
