You'll find Geek Talent in the Northern Powerhouse Business Summit's showcase!
Tell us about your business, what does it do?
We are Three Motion, a leading video production, animation and creative training company based in Newcastle. We promote our client’s ideas, products and services and we’re trusted by some of the best companies in the world.
And what’s your USP? What makes you different?
We support individuals, businesses, organisations, and brands across the UK and globally, helping them access the benefits of using video and animation. We focus our expertise in three areas:
Oh, and we’re also pretty good fun to work with!
What’s your role in the business; how did you get to where you are now?
I’m Faye, I’m the Digital Marketing Executive and the newest member to join the Three Motion family.
I’ve always known I wanted to work in the creative sector and I’d known about Three Motion for a while. I loved their online presence and the range of video content they produced.
I studied Events Management and took a marketing module which I loved, my passion for digital content really stemmed from there.
How would you describe your business to a novice?
We support individuals, businesses, organisations, and brands across the UK and globally, helping them access the benefits of using video and animation.
What has been your biggest achievement so far?
I really couldn't pinpoint one aspect of our teams many achievements.
As more partners found the solutions they needed through our teams trademarked 'Create, Engage, Share' model, the business grew as did the type and number of options for the deployment of professionally made content. The team grew to current levels of nine studio based experts with specialisms ranging from planning and scriptwriting to production, animation, post-production, digital deployment and professional training.
Recognised as the experts in our field, the team now delivers regular workshop events and has trained many hundreds of organisations, as well as delivering bespoke 'one to one' training for those looking to hone content making skills themselves.
The atmosphere is hardworking, creative and fun, and it's knowing that only the best in our industry become part of our team, which drives us to stretch the creative work we deliver for our partners across the UK.
How do you differentiate your business from others?
We support individuals, businesses, organisations, and brands across the UK and globally, helping them access the benefits of using video and animation. We understand what it takes to connect with online audiences. We design and create social campaigns and use technology to put your video in front of the people that matter most.
What do you like about being based in the North of England?
The North East has a thriving independent scene and we’re seeing more and more great small businesses online and on our high streets. Through Video and Animation, we want to celebrate and applaud the innovation and spirit in the North East. The North East understands that in order to compete against the rest and propel ourselves onto a national stage, we must collaborate, and video is a great vehicle to communicate these messages.
Where do you see your business in 5 years’ time?
The future looks extremely bright. As our reach continues to extend out of the region, we're investing heavily in technology and systems, creating the infrastructure required to serve our clients around the globe. Over the next year, we aim to strengthen our squad further, growing the team to 12. Whilst our launch of Three Share will provide organisations with a unique video sharing experience, we're also looking forward to increasing our Creative Training function; helping others improve the way they use video within organisations.
As more and more businesses seek to harness the power of video, we will be ready to assist their journey, from concept to screen and beyond!
What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs or innovators?
With drive, determination and a bucket full of tenacity, you can do anything if you set your mind to it.
What are you looking forward to about the Northern Powerhouse Business Summit?
We are really looking forward to meet and share knowledge with all the exhibitors and delegates in our great region. Learning, networking and the variety of opportunities that are available, it is also a fantastic opportunity to be a part of one of the biggest, most talked about events in the North.
