Manchester-based personal injury law firm Express Solicitors has had its best ever financial results, with year-end figures increasing 4.5% from £13.75m in 2017 to £14.5m in 2018; its sister medical company Ontime Reports Limited contributed a further £3m.
Caseloads have grown from 8,385 to 10,949 an increase of 30.58% over the same period thanks to continued long term support from Royal Bank of Scotland. The firm believes it is progressing well towards achieving its goal of reaching £20m turnover within three years and £25m turnover in 5 years.
During 2017 to 2018, Express Solicitors has added 62 new members of staff to its team, a growth of 31% across all departments. It has just made 17 promotions, including eight associate partners to partners, five associate solicitors to associate partners and four assistant solicitors to associate solicitors. In addition, four trainee solicitors qualified and were promoted to solicitors
In this financial year, the firm acquired a new building adjacent to its current headquarters, which provides space for further expansion.
It also acquired the book of personal injury work from Edward Hands and Lewis, the firm’s third acquisition in as many years.
Express Solicitors says its growth is also due to its increased marketing spend, which saw some £6.5m committed in television, radio and internet advertising campaigns during the year.
Managing Partner James Maxey said: “Solid growth in this ever changing and challenging market is a fantastic feat and credit must be given to our skilled, dedicated and compassionate lawyers and support teams who are fully committed to getting injured people the justice they deserve.
“With a new building, 17 promotions and 62 new employees brought on board this year alone, we are in a strong position to grow even further next year.”
