Archers Law doubles litigation team with strategic appointments
A Teesside-based law firm has bolstered its litigation team with two key appointments following considerable growth and development in the legal market.
Archers Law has appointed Kenton Bazeley as partner and head of litigation, along with an experienced associate solicitor, Helen Lyne - doubling the firm’s litigation team.
Kenton and Helen join the litigation team alongside Partner, Angela Torrance and Associate Solicitor, Richard Flounders. Archers Law has worked extensively to develop its litigation service, earning recognition in the Legal 500 as a result.
These new appointments will give the firm the additional resource required to grow this area of the business strategically and ensure continued success. The overall headcount of the firm stands at 65.
Maven makes new appointment to North East investment team
Maven Capital Partners, one of the UK’s most active private equity houses, has further expanded its investment team with the appointment of Jamie Fraser to help manage funds across the North East.
Jamie joins with 15 years’ of commercial banking experience supporting SMEs and mid-market clients across a range of transactions including corporate acquisitions, private equity buy-outs, restructuring and disposals, most recently for Lloyds Bank as a Relationship Director.
Prior to his role at Lloyds Bank, Jamie worked at The Bank of Scotland, in a variety of client facing roles, dealing principally with mid-market clients and SMEs.
Leading North East lawyer returns to his roots at Ward Hadaway
Ward Hadaway has welcomed back Frank Orr, a leading planning, compulsory purchase and regeneration lawyer, who has returned to his roots with the firm after 25 years.
Frank, who hails from County Durham, first started out with Ward Hadaway as a trainee more than two decades ago before moving to an in-house role with Newcastle City Council.
He returns to Ward Hadaway as a consultant with the planning team, with expertise in both the planning and environmental spheres, including environmental impact assessment, highways, listed buildings, noise, waste and ratings.
