Leading mid-market private equity investor LDC has bolstered its senior team with the appointment of portfolio director Martyn Vitty.
With more than 12 years’ experience in senior leadership roles, Martyn joins LDC from high-growth manufacturer ELEY Group, where he held the positions of interim CEO and finance director.

An estate agency in Leicester city centre has appointed a new sales manager to head up its busy residential sales department.
Andrew Granger & Co made the appointment to meet the growing demand for property in Leicester.
Sales Manager Leigh Chapple Lynch first joined the company in 2011 as a valuer and negotiator.
Edge Testing Solutions appoints David Singleton to drive sales in England and Wales
One of the UK’s fastest growing and largest independent software testing companies, Edge Testing Solutions, has appointed David Singleton as regional manager for England and Wales.
David, who has previously worked at Sogeti and Capita, and attended the University of Birmingham, will be based in Edge Testing’s Birmingham office, at Quayside Wharf.
Technical services director appointed at Birmingham Airport
Birmingham Airport is delighted to announce that Andy Duggins will take up the post of technical services director from 1st October 2018.

Beverley Berns has worked as a chartered physiotherapist for over 30 years in both the NHS and private practice, choosing to specialise in the area of musculoskeletal physiotherapy in 1991.
Coombe Abbey Hotel has appointed a new managing director
Richard Harrison has joined Coombe Abbey Park after 12 years at Warwick Conferences and will oversee the 119-bedroom hotel, the café and on-site pub and meeting rooms, as well as a potential new Go Ape operation and additional café which is set to open next year.
Harrison, who started his career with Scottish and Newcastle, has been charged with establishing new commercial activity for the business as well as driving up revenues on the hotel operation.
Hortons’ Estate appoints new chief executive
Stephen Benson is to take on the chief executive’s role at Birmingham-based family owned property company Hortons’ Estate Limited.
He will take over the role from Tony Green at the firm’s AGM on 24 January 2019, but will be joining in the New Year to work alongside Tony on the handover.
GVA appoints Sharon Reilly as head of property management accounts
Sharon Reilly has been promoted to head of GVA’s national Property Management Accounts (PMA) team.
Sharon will head up a national team of 130 staff handling property accounting services – including rent and service charge collection and payment for both investors and occupiers – for a range of clients across GVA’s network of 11 regional offices.

Anna Spencer-Gray, who has worked for RSM for 16 years, has been promoted to partner and returns to the Midlands after a nine year stint working in the firm's Manchester office.

Law firm, Shakespeare Martineau, has appointed Louise Drew as the new head of its national real estate group.
Louise has been with Shakespeare Martineau for five years, working with a large range of clients from across the real estate sector, including national house builders and registered providers of social housing. She will be taking over from John Edmond, who will be retiring from his role at the firm this summer and returning as a consultant.
Law firm VWV further develops its family law team in Birmingham
Family law and divorce specialist Carly Weyman has joined award-winning law firm VWV in Birmingham.
Carly joins from Tanners Solicitors in Cirencester. She offers legal advice to private clients based in the Cotswolds and the Midlands in relation to all aspects of family law including divorce, separation and cohabitation disputes, child arrangement orders, nuptial agreements and domestic abuse.
Expanding engineering consultancy strengthens senior team
Rolton Group, the multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, has announced the appointment of Peter Stokoe as its new associate director. Peter will be responsible for supporting Rolton Group’s growth plans by strengthening the civil and structural engineering team based at the company’s Birmingham Quartz Point office.

Gillott joins Grant Thornton from private equity-backed water cooler business Angel Springs. Specialising in M&A for the majority of his career, Gillott held senior corporate finance roles at Deloitte and EY in Birmingham before joining Angels Springs.
New graduate joins architecture consultancy
Architectural consultancy LK2 – which has offices in both London and Lincoln – continued its ambitious growth plans with the appointment of a new graduate Part II architectural assistant.
Part II architectural assistant, Adam Caffrey joins LK2 after finishing his Masters of Architecture at the University of Lincoln. During his time at university, Adam was named the ‘Most improved MArch student of 2018’.
Adam will primarily be working with the retail team, in particular focusing on planning and building regulations for projects.
