Sheffield-based A1 Towing has secured a £110,000 funding boost to help ‘increase capacity and drive efficiency’, as well as sustaining and expanding its manufacturing and design team.
The funding from UK Steel Enterprise and the Regional Growth Fund has helped the company purchase and install a robotic welder and create 11 jobs.
A1 operates out of a factory located on Sheffield’s Parkway Industrial Estate and the investment will allow the firm to continue growing - with several of the 11 new jobs already being created.
CEO, Mark Terry, said: “This is fantastic news for the company which has expanded considerably over the last year thanks to a growing reputation for quality, convenience and value.
“The £110,000 investment has allowed us to purchase a vital piece of equipment and the necessary staff that will mean we be more efficient in terms of factory space, allowing for other divisions to expand and also to weld more products faster whilst improving quality – a step forward in further growing our customer base and reaching further afield in the UK.”
A1 Towing has a fully fitted workshop in Sheffield and sells their tow bars across the country. They are so confident in the quality of what they manufacture that they offer a lifetime guarantee on products.
