A growing North East environmental services business is set to create new jobs after a £1m expansion.

A recent boost in services has already seen the company take on 12 new team members and now have plans to up numbers to 20 in the coming months.

Steve Appleby, operations manager of Mantank’s drainage cleaning division said: “We’ve secured twenty new contracts to date from customers both new and existing since July, which has totally exceeded our initial expectations.”

Since the company moved from Manchester to the North East in 2013 the company’s numbers have multiplied from four to 40.

General manager, Richard Valks, added: “Since opening our depot in the North East Mantank has gone from strength to strength and we’ve been absolutely thrilled with our achievements so far.”
