Accord Healthcare to create up to 100 new jobs

Pharmaceutical firm Accord Healthcare is set to bring 50 to 100 jobs to a Newcastle site which suffered closure just six months ago.

The development was purchased from French global healthcare company Sanofi in January, and it is believed that the new staff will be ex-Sanofi employees.

Accord will use the entire 19.3 acre Northumberland Park site, which offers more than 400,000 sq ft of high quality laboratory, manufacturing and office space.

Keith Daniels, site head for European Retail Production at Accord Healthcare, commented: “We are a young and dynamic company with very ambitious plans.

“We are confident that the jobs and investment we are bringing to Newcastle will impact on the community in an extremely positive way.”
