Beauty Kitchen, which produces natural health and beauty products, has signed an exclusivity agreement with Holland and Barrett which will see its products stocked in over 750 stores across the UK.
Its products range from body and skin care items such as hand lotions and body wash to gifts such as bath bombs, hampers and soaps.
The first order has been placed and the products will start hitting shelves over the coming weeks.
Speaking on the news Beauty Kitchen founder Jo-Anne Chidley told BQ: “We’re delighted to have signed an exclusivity agreement with Holland and Barrett.
“Its stores are a favourite with UK shoppers and stocking our products there gives us, a small, independent business, the opportunity to build our brand.
“Beauty Kitchen is available online but having the products on shelves gives the brand greater visibility and lets us reach new consumers – something we would have found difficult on our own.”
Jo and the team joined Entrepreneurial Spark’s Glasgow Hatchery after winning a Scottish EDGE award in 2014 which has helped contribute to this success.
Jim Duffy, CEO of Entrepreneurial Spark, added: “Through hard work, determination and making use of the vast array of opportunities available at Entrepreneurial Spark, Beauty Kitchen has secured an incredible deal that will give the business security and visibility to a UK-wide audience.
“For a start-up to be available in one of the biggest retailers in the country is absolutely fantastic, and testament to how hard-work and dedication truly pays off!”
