Yorkshire and the Humber reveal highest job growth rate

Yorkshire and the Humber show the highest rate of job growth in the UK for Q3 according to the NatWest Regional Economic Tracker.

The region has seen a higher rate of job growth than any other region over the last year, with employment figures rising by 3.8%.

Scarborough topped the regional growth chart, seeing 19% growth, followed by Hambleton and Leeds.

NatWest senior economist Sebastian Burnside said: "Yorkshire is getting a lot of things right, more confidence in its own outlook and ability to generate value.”

Scott Mullen, director and co-founder of Doncaster-based My Pension Expert added: "The NatWest survey announcement today, further justifies what we have already seen to be the case in Yorkshire.

“The entrepreneurial spirit and ambitions of regional businesses, just like ours, shows we are creating more and better career opportunities and employment.”
