The Hetton-le-Hole-based firm was set up in 1960 by Albert and Murial Dover with just one coach and one driver, and has now grown their team to nine - with four coaches and three generations of the family at the helm.
After a strong period of growth, the three generations, Les Dover (52), Terry Dover (49) and Karl Dover (30) enlisted the help of Gordon Brown Law Firm’s (GBLF) Core team to secure two new units within the Hetton-le-Hole industrial Estate.
“Strong family values are at the heart of our company and GBLF really understood this,” said Karl Dover.
“As the firm has passed through the generations, I hope that this family tradition can continue, with my son Thomas coming on board one day, carrying on my Grandad’s legacy.”
Gwen Jones, head of Core and solicitor at GBLF, said: “It was a pleasure to assist the Dover family in the acquisition of their new office space and change in partnership agreement.
“Joy Heron, a member of Core’s team, really got to know Karl and the business to ensure that in going forward Dover’s Coaches could focus on its continued growth knowing that they were protected by a new partnership agreement.”
