Scottish Bingo operator set for expansion

Scottish-based bingo firm Club 3000 is looking to expand further after opening two new venues following a multimillion pound re-finance.

The business acquired two freehold properties that were operating as bingo venues, and are completely overhauled and refurbishing them.

Club 3000 now has three venues in Scotland and 14 across the UK, employing 440 staff but is looking to expand, particularly into London.

The multimillion pound refinancing deal was facilitated by Jim Wales, commercial relationship manager at Clydesdale Bank’s Lanarkshire Customer Banking Centre.

Brian Fraser has owned and managed the business since 2006 when he opened the firm’s flagship site in Coatbridge.

Brian said: “Refinancing with Clydesdale Bank has freed up capital for us to invest in new locations.

“We already have facilities across the UK, and we are targeting London as a key market for our continuing growth.”

Jim Wales said: “Under Brian Fraser’s leadership, Club 3000 has developed quickly into a very successful company with venues across the UK.

“Clydesdale Bank is proud to support ambitious businesses to achieve their goals, and we look forward to continuing our positive working relationship with Brian.”
