Footwear retailer Charles Clinkard is boosting its presence in the North East with its seventh store in the region, and is due to open its doors in July after a £300,000 refit.
The move comes after a string of investments by the company, including the opening of a new £3m head office and warehouse at Cannon Park in Middlesbrough, and a renewed lease on its Redcar store.
Managing director Charles Clinkard said: “We’re very excited to be opening our new store at Teesside Shopping Park. It’s one of the busiest retail parks in the country and we believe it will be the start of an exciting new growth avenue for the business.”
The 4,500 sq ft unit, formerly occupied by HMV, will be made up of a 2,000 sq ft trading floor
selling ladies’, men’s and children’s footwear and handbags and a newly installed mezzanine floor.
Brands on offer will include Gabor, Rieker, Skechers, UGG, Fly London, Barker and Loake. Children’s brands will include Start-rite, Lelli Kelly, Geox, Converse and Timberland.
“We’ll have a full product range on offer at Teesside Shopping Park, so customers will have an excellent choice of high-quality brands at great prices – and we think they will like the new-look shop,” added Mr Clinkard.
