Hotel restaurant serves up seven new jobs for Halifax

A Halifax-based hotel has created seven new jobs thanks to the opening of a brand new restaurant, the Rock Burger Kitchen.

Since opening its doors at the Rock Hotel in Holywell Green, the new restaurant has supplied diners with locally-sourced Yorkshire beef burgers, including products from Yorkshire Dales-based free range farm R&J catering butchers.

Owner, Paul Anderson is keen to provide local residents with something different and give something back to the community too. As such, for every classic Rock Burger sold, 50p will go to local charity, Overgate Hospice.

Speaking at its opening event, Mr Anderson said: “With a new team, look and menu we aim to provide something different for the area.

“Our chef has sourced some top class suppliers to ensure we provide high-quality burgers and we have ambitious plans to become the go-to place to enjoy a good burger in Calderdale.”
