eLamb, founded by Mark Wilson in 2007, creates and delivers bespoke eLearning and online assessments with a heavy focus in particular on health and safety and compliance and also the hospitality sector.
The company relocated to Darlington’s Business Central last September in a bid to capitalise on the town’s skilled talent pool and strong transport links.
Having since made two key appointments, the company is now celebrating after landing two major contracts with leading hotel chain Travelodge.
The deals will see the company produce bespoke training courses for all 10,000 Travelodge members of staff across its ever growing portfolio of over 650 hotels.
Mark Wilson, founder and managing director of eLamb, said: “I'm incredibly excited about our plans, since the move we have engaged with some of the biggest brands in the UK with multiyear deals.
“The team is also growing ahead of expectations; we have taken on two new team members in the last year and are recruiting for another three. eLearning is a concept that is growing in popularity with new industries starting to adopt it…we are making sure that we are in a strong position to take advantage."
He went on to praise Business Central Darlington for their growing support since the move. Wilson added: “From day one we have reaped the benefits of working at Business Central, the team here are really supportive and it’s a close knit community of business mixing from start-ups to established firms like eLamb. Furthermore Business Central is an ideal location to meet with customers and prospects.”
Business Central’s centre manager Vanessa Woods added: “It’s encouraging to see the success eLamb has had since moving to Darlington.
“Our focus is very much on offering support designed to help businesses grow, and I am thrilled Mark has benefited from that.
“I look forward to seeing Mark’s plans come together and his team grow in the future.”
BQ will continue to follow eLamb’s story as the company continues to grow.
