Yogamasti, which was launched in 2009 by entrepreneur Aanika Chopra, specialises in yoga clothing and equipment.
Ms Chopra said: “Yogamasti has grown considerably over the years and is now doing amazingly well.
“Although yoga is a passion of my own, I didn’t realise just how many people practice yoga and how popular our products would become.
“Being a yoga teacher means I have been able to create comfortable, practical clothing that is suitable for practicing yoga in. We also sell bags, yoga equipment and gifts.
Based at its new shop at FarGo Village, Yogamasti also exports products to the USA and throughout Europe.
The company received support in the exporting process from UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) at the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce’s International Trade Hub.
“UKTI provided a considerable amount of support when we first began exporting products. Their Passport to Export service provided me with contacts that I was able to network with as well as invaluable advice when it came to decision making,” added Ms Chopra.
“The team also provided me with website support and information about exporting products to different countries.
“We are now selling all over Europe and in the USA and regularly take our products to international shows to develop our overseas contacts further.”
Parminder Hayer, international trade advisor at Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce – which launched a Go For Growth campaign at the start of 2016, said: “Aanika has made the most of the services on offer from UKTI to help expand Yogamasti overseas.
“She is very passionate about yoga and has worked hard to grow her business. We look forward to continuing to work with Aanika and supporting her with future overseas trade.”
