EasyJet announces two new routes from Newcastle

easyJet, Europe's leading and Newcastle's largest airline, has this morning announced that it is launching two new routes from Newcastle International Airport to Berlin in Germany and Las Palmas in Gran Canaria.

The two new routes will start on 1 November and are expected to carry more than 36,000 passengers in the first year of operation alone. easyJet will be operating the only direct scheduled flights from the airport to Berlin Schoenefeld, opening up the destination to the North-East population.

Passengers in the North-East will be able to fly with easyJet directly to Berlin Schoenefeld from just £30.49 up to three times a week year-round on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The route starts just in time for visitors wanting to experience the famous German Christmas markets and experience the traditional winter celebrations. Berlin also boasts a rich history and culture with a wealth of exhibitions and museums on the Berlin Wall and World War Two. 

Flights from Newcastle International to Las Palmas will take-off every Tuesday over the winter season and is ideal for those wanting to take advantage of Gran Canaria's winter sun and escape to warmer climes over the Christmas and New Year period. Passengers can enjoy fares starting from £32.49.
