The £1.4m contract for Fulcrum will see the installation of 2.3 km of gas pipeline infrastructure to a new chemical manufacturer on Teesside.
Fulcrum will adopt, own and continue to operate the pipeline after its construction, adding to the company’s growing asset base. The work is scheduled to begin in late summer 2016.
Martin Donnachie, chief executive officer of Fulcrum, said: "The award of this significant gas pipeline project in partnership with British Gas is another example of the successful relationship we have developed with them.
“It also reinforces Fulcrum’s position as the utility services provider of choice for major developments across the UK and is in line with our plans for the next financial year.”
The project is the latest seven-figure contract between Fulcrum and British Gas Business – the companies have had a longstanding framework agreement which was extended in November 2015 for an additional 26 months.
The news comes after a strong set of annual results was released by Fulcrum in June, with pre-tax profits having risen from £0.6m in 201415, to £4.3m in 201516.
