The firm, founded in 1961 by the Taxi Owners Association, started with around 25 cabs but now boasts 400 cabs which operate across Birmingham City Centre.
TOA recently secured a coveted contract with The NEC, naming them as the official taxi service provider for the NEC site, which includes the NEC, Genting Arena and Resorts World Birmingham.
Mohammed Khalil, a new driver for TOA Taxis, previously worked for international taxi brand and competitor, ComCab. He said: “I’ve been a taxi driver for 20 years in Birmingham now.
“I’m very happy and excited to be part of TOA Taxis. It’s a well-run company that’s moving with the times and led by an able management team.’
The firm has plans to continue its success over the next twelve months, increasing its fleet by a further fifty new drivers, and increasing turnover by 15% by next year.
