Ninth Yorkshire site for Provenance

North Yorkshire inn, the Cleveland Tontine, has been purchased by Provenance Inns and Hotels group, becoming the group’s ninth site in Yorkshire.

Located in Staddlebridge between Stokesley and Northallerton, the Tontine currently offers seven newly refurbished bedrooms, however Provenance Inns has put forward plans to expand its offer by turning a former coachhouse on the site into additional guest rooms.

The Cleveland Tontine will join Yorkshrie hotels in the Provenance group’s portfolio including

The West Park Hotel at Harrogate, The Crown and Cushion at Derwent and The Black Bull at Moulton.

Chairman Chris Blundell said: “The Cleveland Tontine has built an excellent reputation over a number of years and we are delighted to have the opportunity to build upon this. We will be exploring the possibilities of creating more bedrooms, while underpinning its standing as a fine-dining establishment by offering our own seasonal and locally-sourced produce.”

Director Michael Ibbotson said: “We know that customers, both old and new, will have high expectations and we are committed to delivering the best possible experience.”
