Dr Burdurin now aims to make improvements to the surgery, standards and treatments available for patients.
The surgery, located at 37 Johns Street, currently offers a wide range of dental services to NHS and private patients, including routine and cosmetic treatments.
However, Budurin intends to add orthodontic treatments to the offering, which is her specialist area and dental implants. Over the coming months, the surgery will also be renovated, with the addition of two new surgeries as well as a host of new equipment being installed.
Dr Budurin said: “I am really pleased that the acquisition has been a success. Having previously worked in the practice for a long period of time I feel that I have a great understanding of how this particular surgery operates and am pleased to be working alongside many familiar patients and members of staff.
The acquisition was supported by Royal Bank of Scotland who provided an undisclosed loan.
Tracy Westley, senior relationship manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “Having previously worked at Optident Dental Surgery, Dr Budurin has a great advantage in taking over the practice and I am pleased that we have been able to support her acquisition.
“The plans to offer Orthodontic treatments as well as increasing the size of the surgery will enable the company to increase the number of patients they can provide a high quality service to.”
