The new engineering and support services contract with Repsol Sinopec Resources UI cements Step Change Engineering’s ambition to become a major tier 2 contractor in the North Sea oil and gas market.
The Repsol Sinopec contract, along with an increasing order book of work from other clients, will boost Step Change Engineering’s workforce to over 50.
Established in October 2014, Step Change Engineering was created to provide an innovative and technology led approach to delivering design and engineering solutions to the oil and gas industry.
The firm’s ability to deliver savings of up to 90% on project schedules and 70% on engineering costs, aligns with the oil and gas industry’s drive to reduce expenditure and improve efficiency.
Alongside its project work with North Sea operators, Step Change Engineering has also secured work for a Scottish distillery, and most recently an overseas refinery.
In its first project in the food and drink manufacturing industry, Step Change Engineering has worked with Forsyths Ltd to deliver survey, engineering and design work for a whisky distillery.
