Shepherd gathers praise

Shepherd Chartered Surveyors recognised as one of the top commercial firms in Scotland for the second year running.

In its annual analysis of Scotland’s commercial surveying market, the publication noted that ‘it was another strong all-round showing from regional specialist Shepherd Commercial, which only broke into the top rankings in 2012 and impressed again in 2013, most notably in retail where it pushed C&W particularly close.’

Shepherd was ranked second in the retail property category; third in both the office and industrial categories and fifth in the leisure and hotel category.

Chris Grinyer, managing partner at Shepherd’s Aberdeen office, said: “As this annual research into activity within Scotland’s commercial property market reveals, Shepherd is now a major player across all sectors. We’re delighted with this recognition and look forward to continuing to develop our business in Scotland.”

Meanwhile Shepherd has acquired the former Ballinluig Inn, south of Pitlochry, for an undisclosed price. The former Ballinluig Hotel, located just off the A9, is to be transformed into a kitchen, coffee house, bar and grill as well as an inn with eight bedrooms under the new brand name The Red Brolly Inn, run by the Fusion Group.
