The Wee Pie Company makes big moves

The team at the Wee Pie Company in Glencarse are celebrating after tying up a long term deal with supermarket chain Aldi.

Following two successful promotions with the chain earlier this year, the company is now supplying all 61 Aldi stores across Scotland.

Managing director Rose Martin first met the buyers from Aldi at one of Scottish Food & Drink’s Meet the Buyer event’s and the partnership has blossomed ever since.

So much so, that their products are now making Aldi’s Specially Selected Range, launching just in time for Christmas.

Rose Martin said: “The Wee Pie Company would like to thank all of its suppliers for their fabulous produce and of course Scotland Food & Drink for the extremely successful Meet the Buyers Events, where Aldi and the Wee Pie first met!”

The pies are now available to the whole of Scotland on a regular basis with wild Venison & Red Wine, Buffalo Steak with Lia Fail Ale and Premium Steak with Black Pudding, all now on shelves.

The company is also celebrating after being named as one of three finalists in Scotland for the Modern Apprenticeship Awards.
