The company employs over 3,000 staff from a network of regional offices throughout the UK and provides energy, safety and environmentally focused solutions to companies.
Across the west of Scotland, SPIE is consolidating 3 properties into its new hub. The move will see 141 staff from these offices come together with more team members planned to join in the future.
Lord Smith of Kelvin, the chair of Clyde Gateway, said: “I am delighted that SPIE has chosen One Rutherglen Links for its headquarters in Scotland.
“SPIE is part of what is a very welcome surge in the number of firms and organisations who recognise just how much Clyde Gateway can offer.
“There is something of a shortage of new, affordable quality office stock in and around the city-region but our commitment to speculative developments at a number of locations across Clyde Gateway will help address this gap.”
Will Smith, managing director of SPIE Multi-Technical Services of SPIE UK, added: “SPIE is looking forward to becoming an occupant of this quality development and expanding its Scottish business from this excellent location.”
The four-storey Grade A office is one of only a handful of speculative builds of its type in the Glasgow city region in recent years.
The move will see SPIE, the UK’s leading provider of multi-technical services, occupy the top two floors taking up over half of its 4,000 sq m of floor space.
