Mrs Tilly's secures deal with Morrisons

Tilly Confectionery has secured a major deal with Morrisons which will see the supermarket sell its traditional confectionery bars across Scotland.

The deal will see Mrs Tilly's bars sold across 61 of the supermarket stores, as well as at 48 of Morrisons Petrol Filling Stations, from April.

Managing director Blair Paterson said: “We are delighted to have gained this business with Morrisons and having our bars available through their petrol filling stations is an added bonus – as our products are a perfect impulse pick up.

“We have been working with the Morrisons buying team for a number of months now and it is clear that they are focussed on enhancing their Scottish offering and we are excited to be part of that”.

Morrisons category manager for Scotland, Angus Bell added:  “Mrs Tilly’s is a great Scottish brand and we’re delighted to stock it in our supermarkets and petrol stations across Scotland.

“This is a great example of how we are actively looking to stock local brands and products which is what our customers tell us they want to see in store.”

The new listing comes at a busy time for Mrs Tilly’s who have announced a range of new products launching over the next few months, as well as recently enlisting two new production lines to support their continued growth.
